Pastel Flower!

We had a huge storm hit Surrey last night and we lost power for 8 hours, the wind was so strong we lost some fence panels and the garden is like a swamp, really looking forward to Spring this year.

Here is a card I made yesterday for the Simon Says Challenge "Get Krafty" and the Hero Arts Flower Birthday card Challenge, not my best photo as we are building for more rain and its quite dark!!  I dusted off my Hero Arts Ruffled Flower stamp and stamped and embossed in white,  I have added some shading with distress ink.
Hope you are having better weather where you are.

your card turned out so lovely, Sally - that has been my "go to" flower for a long time - so versatile. my son in London was complaining about all the rain too - we just have had cold and colder here in Nebraska and lots of wind - crazy winter! i'm going to snuggle in and make some cards today.

We've had lots of snow where I live in the USA this winter...more than we're accustomed to, but then I saw a news story about the flooding and high winds in the UK and realized it's been a bad winter in lots of places. I read a quote by Edith Sitwell this morning and it said, "No winter lasts forever; no spring skips it turn" and I'm going to hold on to that thought and share it with you.

What a lovely card, Sally! So soft and elegant. We have had quite the winter here in NY too. I can't wait for that first crocus!

Fabulous card Sally, I love the delicate colouring! Sorry to hear about your storm damage. We have had some very high winds here and lots of rain, which has found its way into our conservatory but at least we aren't flooded out like some poor souls in other parts of the country. Keep safe, Jo x

Gorgeous card, Sally! Love the colours and your flower looks wonderful with the light inking and fabulous centre full of pearls!

Thank goodness for blue skies and a dry day today and I see the forecast for the UK is the same. I can't ever remember having so many storms and so much rain hit the country. I'm sorry to hear you lost your electricity again and that you've lost some fence panels too. Hopefully the worst is over with now.

This is beautiful. Love the softness of it. Hope your bad weather is over soon. We've had extreme snowfall here this winter and below zero temps.

Lovely card. I can see it as a wedding card. Your weather sounds awful. We're have endless snow, but I think that's better than floods. Prayers for you and your community.
